18-22 January 2027

In January 2027, we are travelling to Fort Portal, Uganda again. And you can join us! For one week, you will be close to the work, the people and the stories that define Master2Morrow. You will meet the local trainers, entrepreneurs and participants and experience how knowledge, equality and trust help people take new steps  forward. You will also discover what you can contribute with your own experience, talents and
commitment. The training week takes place from 18 to 22 January 2027. We leave on 15 January. Will you join us?

Is it your first week?

No worries. You do not need to know or be able to do everything. Curiosity, openness and a willingness to learn together are enough. Together, we will explore what role fits you best.

This journey is not a ready-made programme where you simply come to give. It is a week in which you collaborate, listen, learn, share your experience and contribute to a movement that is becoming stronger locally every day.

Below you will find examples of activities you could take part in during the journey. Of course, there are other possibilities too. Together, we will look at what matches your skills, interests and experience.

• Coach local trainers and help them further develop their training skills.
• Join one of the training programmes as a guest trainer and deliver a session that connects with your knowledge or experience.
• Contribute to the development of the Master Team by working together on collaboration, planning and
  clear roles within the team.
• Help develop training materials, for example by building a continuous learning programme or a follow-up training for entrepreneurs: Master of Business.
• Share your ideas about microfinance and help shape the next steps after the current pilot project.
• Join a social impact project, for example an initiative that helps Master2Morrow generate local income.
  Or become a ‘storyteller on the ground’: collect and share stories for our website and social media.
• Roll up your sleeves and support a local entrepreneur with practical challenges.

What will you take at home?

This journey often touches people in ways they did not expect. You will experience entrepreneurship up close. You will hear stories about perseverance, creating opportunities and starting again. You will discover the difference that access to the right knowledge can make for entrepreneurs and how empowerment helps women grow stronger.

You will see confidence grow. Entrepreneurs gain trust in themselves and more control over their businesses. You will experience the value of not working for people, but with people.

Practical information

• • When: departure Friday 15 January 2027. Training week: Monday 18 to Friday 22 January 2027. Return journey of onward travel: Sunday 24 January.

  • Accomodation: We will stay at Rwenzori View Guesthouse in Fort Portal.
  • Training location: The trainings takes place at Yes Hostel in Fort Portal, a 5-minute walk from the guesthouse.
  • Before the journey: After the summer holidays, we will organise an online orientation meeting: Tuesday 8 September at 7:30 PM. This meeting is an opportunity to ask questions and get a better idea of the journey. After this session, you decide whether you want to join. In October, we will organise an in-person preparation meeting. You will meet the other participants and we will make agreements about who will contribute what during the week.

  • Costs: Master2Morrow will send you an invoice for your contribution towards participation costs for Ugandan participants, your accommodation, the transfer from Entebbe (airport) to Fort Portal. You arrange and pay for your own: flight ticket, visa, vaccinations, additional transfers, personal travel plans. After the training week, you are welcome to continue travelling through Uganda independently, possibly together with other participants.

The online orientation meeting on 8 September is completely optional and does not commit you to anything. It is a chance to ask all your questions, get a feel for the journey and discover whether this experience is right for you. After the meeting, you will still have time to decide.
